Abstract

The points that should be considered while planning bus operating garages are summarized. The present methods that can be used to size, locate and plan bus garage facilities are covered. Decision variables dependent on the operating garage planning process are listed. The bus garage planning problem, the development of a needs assessment, and the garage location and size analysis are covered in the full report by the ITE Technical Council Committee 6A-30. The report concludes with recommendations.
